In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Lindy and the Ecoart team were the best tour guide I could imagine

Lindy and the Ecoart team were the best tour guide I could imagine They were well organized ontime and very respectful Lindy and her subject matter expertise in guiding us inside the walls of Vatican city was the best part of my trip to Rome She was very kind to all the people in the group but more than anything she was a great story teller I would recommend her services to anyone visiting the Vatican City in coming days

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Awe inspiring tour great guide

The Vatican is enormous Focusing a group on its countless highlights and keeping them riveted and vertical is a real skill Alessia our guide was fantastic She was knowledgable personable and funny and she gave wonderful context to what we were seeing She maximized the experience by supplying anecdotes behind the works often humorous which added to all of our appreciation of them You couldnt ask for a better guide The experience was well organized professional throughout Highly recommended The place was packed one can only imagine what itll be like during the Jubilee Glad we saw it earlier

So worth it

Excellent tour guide Fred was by far the best one we had on all our tours in Rome Very knowledgeable very engaging and patient I highly recommend this tour and if you could request Fred do it you wont be disappointed
