Fabulous Vatican Tour small group

Our guide Alessia from EcoArt tours was amazing she helped us skip lines her facts were great and she kept the kids entertained She was extremely organised and she was very knowledgeable The added bonus was that EcoArt kept the group small there were only 10 of us in the group

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.


Ending Point

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, including but not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available, Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are allowed in almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. Please note that bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment, such as tripods, large video equipments, and equipment backpacks, will not be permitted inside the Museums.

  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Awesome tour

Our tour guide Marie Laura did such a great job going over the amazing pieces and how the Vatican had obtained certain items We were enthralled the whole time There is just so much to see She goes over the best items with the best histories She showed us a huge poster of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and explained each scene to us before we went in because tour guides are not allowed to talk in the chapel Everything she said really stuck to me as I walked through the chapel Such cool and interesting things to see

Excellent small group tour

We really enjoyed our tour led by Alessia She was knowledgeable kind and fun The museums were incredible and the details and guidance provided by Alessia meant we could focus on key highlights The small group was ideal too as it would have been difficult to maneuver in a bigger group

Really enjoyable Vatican tour

Oscar was a humerous and informative tour guide and we really enjoyed our 3 hours we spent with him walking around the Vatican Were so glad we went on a private tour to visit the museums and the early access meant there were no queues or crowds It was an overall great experience one we will never forget
